What do you use? [Cases]

I have two cases that I switch between. I have a Diztronic Clear (Frosted Matte) TPU case which I like because I can see the Nexus through the case and for the grip it provides.

I also have a Caseology Blue Distressed Leather back TPU Bumper case; I like the look and feel of the leather on the back. My biggest complaint is the Caseology logo on the back of the case and the power button opening is extra long (so that you can get to the SIM card slot easily), which isn't necessarily bad but takes some getting used to. To be clear, it seems to be a very thin sheet of leather that has been placed on the back of a black TPU case.

I switch between the two depending on what I feel like.

I keep my device naked but I had considered this same case in the gold or blue color.

I just like the feel of a naked device, plus I think the N5 is so nice looking.

And screen protectors are meh to me... I hate the feel, I like to touch the glass.

I use the phone naked for day to day use, occasionally using a cheap case if I'm in a high risk phone damage situation.

I do however have a screen protector, although that barely adds any bulk to the phone.

I don't see the point in keeping your phone permanently in a case. On of the reasons you probably chose the phone is because of it's size, feel in the hand etc.

Lots of man effort has gone in to producing that shape, making the phone as thin and small as possible for the screen size. Why add bulk by adding a case, you might as well go buy a $150 Motorola and stick it in a case, it'll look and feel the same as an entombed N5.

Screen protector is not necessary in my opinion on this phone. I have the official nexus bumper case, it's slim enough yet protective enough for minor drops

I use a cheap gel case during work(self employed builder) and no screen protection.I love my phone like my women, naked.

Got a cheap gel case for my phone, and a Neo Hybrid case, both are good but the Hybrid adds just a little bit too much bulk for my liking.

Never use screen protectors and prefer my phone without a case on, generally only use a case when beer comes into the equation!

Check out this thread for a ton of info.

Personally I use a spigen slim armor case. my phone finds itself in some pretty rough situations at times, and this has managed to keep her safe and sound so far. It's pretty thick though, so if you don't like thick cases you might not like it.

I use a black Spigen Slim Armor case (no screen protector). I absolutely love the looks and feel of the case. Without the case the phone feels like it's missing something, like a naked person on a street.

Overall in my personal opinion a case is a must have thing, especially when there's a huge choice of really really good looking cases. I don't like the naked feel of a phone, as I said, without a case it feels like it's lacking something, like protection :P

I have the Spigen SlimArmor in both black and white.

However, I go naked during the week and usually only have a case on the phone on the weekends. I like to show off the new skin I put on there :)

Very nice, that skin look really cool!!
I've seen a couple reviews and vids on them. How are you liking it? Does it seem to hold up and stick to your N5 pretty well?

I have 4 cases for my N5.
1. A Black and white (I call it the Panda) Spigen Slim Armour case. Very durable, has nice and wide openings for the all the device ports and speakers. So I haven't had any issues with USB or head phone cables. This one adds the most bulk, bit it's not that much and after using it for a little while you become very use to it. Cost $21

2. I have a 2 piece snap together hard case with a soft matte finish. Feels similar to the texture of the N5 its self. Again this one has wide openings for all the ports as well.
I use this one more for the looks... The whole case is covered in Skulls. Adds very slight bulk overall.
Cost $4

3. I have 2 TPU cases. One that is partially/half clear and frosted. It reveals most of the natural look of the N5, so you can still see the Nexus logo on the back.
Cost $1.99
Then I have a solid clack TPU case. Both are pretty decent, good feel in the hand and doesn't add much bulk at all.Plus this one came with 4 screen protectors.
Cost $3.99
Both the TPU cases have OK openings on the ports and speaker's.

Since I got a great deal on all the case's and couldn't make up my mind at the time as to which one I liked the most, I just ended up ordering them all.

I originally had the black Google bumper case, I sold it for $35, then I purchased all the other ones and still made a couple $.
I went to a T-Mobile corporate store and they wanted like $34 for a TPU style case and $16 for a 2 pack of screen protectors... So I think I made out pretty well.

I do prefer to use my N5 naked as much as possible also. It's just such a nice design and feels great in the hand. Due to my work thought, it is quite necessary for me to use a case while at work to prevent any damage. So its nice to have some choices as to which case I want to use.
When I get a chance I'll upload a couple pics.

I actually like it a lot :)

The adhesive is 3M and the actual skin itself is vinyl. It has held up just fine to me taking it in and out of my spigen slimarmor a few times a week.

If I bought it again I'd just buy the back piece, and skip the sides and front (ripped the front trying to install it )

Cool! Yeah 3M is a great adhesive and vinyl is pretty strong too... If it holds up while being taken in and out of your slimarmour case, your pocket, etc then that's pretty durable. I would probably go from the back piece only too. I really didn't care for some the side, bottom and top piece's that I seen with some of them.
Which brand of skin did you get?
