I am having to touch the screen twice before an app will open. I can either touch one app first then the one I want, touch a blank part of the screen then the app or touch the app icon twice.

I thought it might have been Talkback, but that is disabled. I have even enabled and disable it again to be sure

Does anyone else have any other ideas ? I am sure I only used to have to touch an Icon once in the past.

Sounds like what LilBit said. Some kind of hardware glitch between the touch sensitivity of your screen.

I would suggest to go to your carrier or the manufacturer and see about replacing your device.

Maybe your phone have som harware or software problems.
Contact your carrier or the manufacturer, to solve that problem.
Maybe "TalkBack" or something like that is activated..
