LG G3 Accessories Thread

Got my 2 tempered glass protectors in yesterday. They are thicker than the 1st one I ordered from amazon, but definitely harder. Now, if only the phone weren't so far off from release.

Look what is there:

Genuine QC case for $19.99. Genuine? Have my doubts about this. But as long as it works..

for some reason AF does not like the link. It is :banghead: dot com

The reason is we filter some sites - and we decide carefully and do it by hand - is because we found that they either were infected, were scammers and ripoffs, or they're part of a spam operation. That's takes a secure, sandboxed setup that (when I do it) we burn down after visiting because of the malware potential.

Please - next time you have doubts about a "deal" on a website we've filtered - trust us and please don't spell out what we've filtered.

Those stars say, "Do not try this at home." ;)

If you think we're wrong, please feel free to drop me a line. :)

The wireless contact pattern shown on their site is different than what the contest winners (T-Mobile) have shown/probably won't line up & work.
Most likely,it's for the Korean variant.

As for the site,FWIW,I've purchased a couple things from them & haven't had any issues.

Frankly, I'm as surprised as I can be.

Ok, I won't.

All I can say is that I bought from this person before and did not have a problem.

I won't spell anything anymore, that's for sure.

I'll review the case for this, thanks. :)

Just to let you and others know, I have received the Quick Circle case from Hong Kong.

Seems to be as described. Even if it is not genuine but a Chinese knock-off, it is very nice for $19.99 shipped. Will help me wait for the real Qi-capable case to drop in price.

Not that the packaging matters any, but, did it arrive in OEM LG packaging?

I just purchased these on eBay. I've used both brands in the past. I had a Spigen Slim Armor for my Nexus 5. It was excellent and provided awesome coverage. We'll see if the Slim Armor for the G3 is of the same quality. Got the Slim Armor in mint, the Caseology TPU in pink.

I only got two cases anyway because the Slim Armor is coming from China and will take some time to get here. Why China? It was six dollars less than it was on Amazon (and free shipping!)!

ALSO!!!! Zerolemon for the G3 seems a definite: ZeroLemon » Summer 2014 ZeroLemon Releases

Won't believe it till I see it, though.

EDIT: Just realized today is the 5th, the tenative release date for the Zerolemon for this phone. A quick look on Amazon tells me it's not here yet. Still, at least they have good intentions. We'll see.

Some non-OEM G3 batteries are showing up on ebay. Description says they are 3.7 volts. The nomenclature on the battery shows 3.8 volts. Not sure if they have the "slight curve" that LG said their batteries have. I'd be careful ordering these.

^^^^
This came in today.
Perfect for work: A small footprint (desktop space is at a premium) & USB-powered (outlet space is at a premium as well).

Topped-off the last 5% of my 3,140 mAh powered LG OG PRO in about 8 minutes. Not bad at all. :)

What's funny is, I placed an order for other items. I should've just added this in. Oh well, at least I know it works well. Maybe I'll swoop one up later. The updates for that website are so weird. I didn't get any real updates until today, which says my items are finally being delivered.

Just note that this is PMA and not Qi. So for me it is useless. I made the mistake of ordering before looking. But AT&T did refund me.

I'm guessing that this is an error on AT&T's behalf, as the case & new charger from LG that is listed elsewhere has the QI standard.
I'm betting this is yet another example of a lazy-ass cut & paste job, lifted in-part from the ASUS PADFONE X, which is on a non-QI standard.

Sadly I doubt it. AT&T are major partners in the PMA Alliance .

That would make AT&T the only carrier w/the PMA standard on the G3, as the rest of the world has QI w/this phone.

I'm pretty sure the bloggers would have been all over this like stink on a steaming pile & mercilessly panning LG & AT&T for using two different standards.

Thanks for chiming in, Lorak. I saw it just before going to bed, so didn't look at the details.
