Help No home tab??

Hey guys,
I've been seeing online in many nexus 5 that in setting there's a tab that says home but my phone doesn't show it
I've also seen that many people are able to separate their SMS app from the hangout app but again the option they use doesn't show on my phone
Are there diff types of nexus? Or maybe it's the software?? I'm running kit Kat 4.4.4
Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure what home tab you are referring to. So you have an image or a screen shot of the functionality you're describing?

All nexus 5's are the same, so differences will be due only to differences in app updates or not accepting updates

Sorry apparently everyone I saw was on 4.4.3 or below..the tab home I was talking about was removed in 4.4.4 apparently
Regarding the SMS app, is there a way to separate it from the hangout one?? Thanks

Correction. Apparently 4.4.4 does have that tab here you can see it in the photo I attached.

Do you have any launcher other than the stock Google Experience Launcher? That option is to change launcher so if you've never installed a 3rd party launcher it is possibly hidden?

I use 8sms which will offer you an option when you first open it to make it the default SMS app instead of Hangouts. I prefer it to Hangouts, myself. I think there are other third party SMS apps that will do that, but I like 8sms.

Yes! thank you
It was hidden I downloaded a launcher and it came up and now its there even after deleting the launcher
OK I'll try with that app
Thank you!

If I understand the question correctly... On the stock launcher, go to "Settings/Wireless and Networks/More/ and choose, Set default SMS app to, and select the app to set as your default SMS app.

Lol. I've had my Nexus 5 since it was first released (ordered day it went on sale) and I have never noticed that setting before. :o:D
