Root Fastboot with recover V4.6.2

Haltemien

Newbie
Hi!
I are following this guide: RECOVERY V4.6.2 (Page 1) - Release - Android and other Stuff
But I get a problem when i run the "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" command. ADB is up and working, and do find my phone when i do a adb devices command. When ADB is < Waiting for device >, I press call and power on at the same time tio enter fastboot mode, but the adb doesnt react, and the phone boots normaly. Ive also tried to enter the fastboot flash command just after ive enterd fastboot mode with my phone, but nothing happends.
I have have rectools and the img in the tools folder.
anyone know what could be wrong?

u need to install 2 set of drivers specifically for galaxy...
u shuld see 2 devices in ur device mnager one like android adb interface and other one something like android 1.0

after that you shuld b able to do stuff....i had same issue btw..
the second set of driver named - fastboot driver for galaxy made the trick....

Thanks for the info! I can only see my android 1.0 device the 15 sec its in fastmode. Tried downloading a couple of android 1.0 drivers, but my x64 win 7 wont regonice it :/

Same thing happens to me, I can always see ADB in the device manager, but I only see Android 1.0 when I'm in fastboot mode, which doesn't last so long.

Difference is, I'm using Windows 7 32bits, should be easier to fix for me. :P

EDIT: I thought installing the newest NPS and the ADB drivers would be enough, but I'm obviously missing something...

Blurgh. This is horseshit. Ive downloaded like 5-6 driverpackages now, and non of them was accepted by the windows 7 64 bit.

Thanks guys, but I got it to work before seeing the replies, all I had to do was to install the same ADB driver (again), but this time on the Android 1.0 that appeared during the 15 seconds fastboot.

Now I can boot in recovery mode and I see the different choices.
