Just be patient. Wait till we get a custom recovery or a proper framework-res.apk can be made. I have the experience to edit the framework-res.apk right, so it won't cause a bootloop.

yeah it caused a loop but it's all good
 
All Good meaning you flashed the stock firmware in download/emergency mode to get out of bootloop?
 
Maybe you could write up a very good newb friendly tutorial on exactly how to flash the stock firmware with pics and links.
I really think you could break it down in such a way that someone totally new to smartphones could understand.
Sound like a good idea?

Yeah why not, it's quite simple once you get it
 
Maybe we could even get it stickied.
You write it up and all check with one of the moderators once it's done.
