Just updated to 4.4.4 Verizon XT1028

I've checked all my apps and everything seems to be working just fine so far. No battery drain or camera issues.

Lucky 😉👍 I have the Boost Mobile version and I can't wait to get mine
I bet it will happen any time soon. :)

Also, I noticed my phone was optimizing my apps after rebooting.

Before the update: 300-330MB free RAM
After the update: 385-400MB free RAM

Yes that is the best thing to hear about the RAM. Are you running Dalvik or ART for the runtime?

BTW, download file size for the MOTO G is approximately 216MB according to my calculations.

We have a slow 1.7Mbps/217KB DSL service in rural Wisconsin. A local ISP calls it Platinum DSL lol.

Anyway, it took about 17 minutes to download the file. So, 217KB x 17 min x 60 sec = 221340KB. 221340 divided by 1024 is 216.15MB. Is it correct? Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right on your math there. And that's nice that you're from Wisconsin. Go Packers!! But yeah that's good to know when it finally happens for me to get my update so thanks for that!!👌👌👍👍👍

Thanks! Go Packers! :)

According to my Google searches, it's supposed to be around 167MB. So I guess my download speed slowed down somewhat.

Then again, that's for the Verizon Moto G, so I suppose it may vary depending on the carrier.

I got the update a few days ago. Except for the new dialer, my G seems the same.... it was good before, and it's good now.

Now when do I get the "L" update? LOL

Well I think that we should get the Android 5.0 update when Autumn comes. At least that's what I've read on the internet 😭😭😭😨😨😨

Overnight battery consumption seems to be normal. When I went to bed around midnight, it was 92%. When I woke up at 5:55 AM this morning, it was 91%.

I think that's decent considering I can only get one or two bars.

How's that for battery life?

I have not yet received the OTA update for my MOTO G Verizon...

Has anyone pulled the OTA zip file from the system/cache and posted it for download?

I don't have your flavor of phone ...

Can't you jet go to Settings | About phone | System updates and start the download if one is available?

... Thom

Yup, that's what I did to get the update.

It seems some folks @XDA unlocked the bootloader with the help of "Middleman" in China, but no one has posted the OTA zip for Verizon over there yet.

Yes, I have tried that but still no update. I was wondering if anybody that has received the update had copied the update zip file from the system/cache and saved it.

I am on Moto G xt1028 Verizon US 4.4.2
