Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I'm sorry vriend. Pain is knowledge... dunno about that. But life is a gift, no matter how shitty it is. It will get better.

If you need some talk time, we'll take it out of this gear ground thread and open up a kennel where people get fed and walked twice a day and the doggies go to work!
 
I really need to stop using sharp objects..I was chopping lettuce
cut straight through my finger nail.. It's gone
Now all I have is a bloody nub!:)

What, were you chopping lettuce with a machete? Well I guess you're lucky the fingernail was there or you'd really have a bloody nub. Looks like a good excuse to have a(nother) drink! :smokingsomb:
 
Do they make a plastic safety tablesaw?

That's how I did my left thumb. Texting has always been a real PITA since then.

Hmmm, I did my right thumb that way. Of course, I'm left handed. ;)

They grafted a patch of skin from my arm to cover the exposed bone. :eek: Still have the nail, though, even though it's kinda shaped funny.

wait a minute...:rolleyes: won't cut clothes or hair??? I NEED ME SOME OF THOSE!!:D:D:D considering I get all hyper sometimes and cut my own hair ,,,just trim the ends...I say....just trim a tiny bit of the bangs that are in my eyes...I say.....fast forward and I'm all pony tail and hair clips...Dora:D:D:D
say to Hubby...I swear don't let me near scissors again....I promise after it grows out I will not cut my own hair ever ever again!!!! I learned my lesson...

this has been going on for 15 years or so!!! hahahahaha!!!

just yesterday I noticed my hair was getting really long....:rolleyes: just signed the purchase papers on my old house today...will celebrate tonight...

I was fortunate enough not to require a graft, my thumb just ended up shorter than the other. Still have a nail, but it kind of grows weird. But texting really sucks.

The ironic thing is that my dad cut his left thumb off entirely on a tablesaw 25 years prior(they reattached it). It's like a weird family tradition, as my grandma had cut her fingers on a tablesaw.

I'm having a day!!:/
At the hardware store I over hear these catty b words saying stuff about me .. Like Barbie and Chrissy from threes company .. Really??? I'm in t shirt and jeans no make up
( I barely wear it ever esp in summer) paint splatters on me and I'm just looking for calk in an isle minding
my own business
Then I'm at my old house to check on a paint job I hired someone to do and it's awful!! I'm not paying him
Sue me
Then I accidentally lick myself out and have to crawl on a garbage can and squeeze through a tiny window
Cops come by 5 min later
Almost got stung by a cicada killer
Installation people are late now and it's the second time I made them come out because they didn't install an anti tip device the 1st time idiots!!!!!
I was too busy to celebrate selling my house last night so I just texted a few old neighbors to come over and have beers and join my pitty party whe I wait for installers
I have not cut my hair yet:)
 
What grinds my gears? The gal in the drive up window at the Golden Arches who INSISTS on giving you your receipt, if the only item your purchases was a drink! Grrrrr....
 
here we go...........:mad: I'm about to give the guy I hired to paint the kitchen cupboards a piece of my mind...too bad because I liked him and thought he was a good guy...actually ...he did a great job on the floors...but seriously a bad job on the cupboards...they need to be calked and repainted. He actually emailed me the bill this morning for the kitchen and it was almost double the invoice quote he originally gave me. Seriously? what an idiot..I wouldn't have hired him at that price...and I'm also not paying him....Ill pay for the materials...70 bucks...but that's it

What is he thinking???? He picked the wrong person to mess with...

New phones decided to not connect to the Internet... Of course we are of town and had no other access to the Internet so I could figure out how to fix the problem.

Obviously, I have found a way to fix it, finally. But two days without Internet was absolute torture for the wife.
 
My day was meh at best. Woke up with a bit of a headache this morning, day at work was bleh, and I tore a hole in my shoe. Hopefully the bus on the way home won't be too late this evening. *sigh*
