I am having an even stranger problem when connecting to Netflix. I just bought an "android smart tv" stick-like device, with a version 4.2.1 installed on it. I have a cable-tv-router from my telephone-company where I connect every device to the internet. I also have a Galaxy Tab-2 tablet, two Galaxy S3 & S4 phones, an iPad, iPhone and 2 laptop PCs connected to the same router device, where in most of them (including the galaxy cells) I have seen several movies through my Netflix account with no problems at all.
Problem started when I brought this android-tv-stick device and I connected it to the same router. I browse the internet & got some emails with it with no problems. BUT when I download & run the Netflix app the device (this tv-stick) start playing any movie for just the first 5 minutes then it freezes, not only Netflix freezes, but anything other app trying to access the internet did.
Since everything was running ok before the Netflix, I assumed the problem was with my telephone-company so I set one of my Galaxy cells as a portable wi-fi hotspot and surprise! everything went to normal again, even Netflix App. So I started yelling at my tel-co internet provider stating that I was having problems with my internet service. But they proved me wrong since the only device that could not connect to the internet with the router was this Android-TV-stick device. Now I'm confused and frustrated because I do not know how to fix this, and the vendor says it is working fine but without my router, they suggested me to change the router. What can I do? Anybody can tell me what is my problem?
