Root [CDMA] Media Volume Problem?

My phone currently has a problem with the media volume. Whenever I have music playing and I try to adjust the volume it goes really slow and/or jumps all the way up or down. Its fine whenever I'm watching videos or YouTube. I don't know whats wrong with it. Please help

I had this issue at one point with the PA rom, I think it was just a bad flash or something because when I flashed it again the problem went away.
 
its a problem on most of the custom roms, if you dont have it youre lucky, it has to do with how it plays back audio. works perfect on stock rom then on cm, pa, liquid is lags crazy
