LG G3 Accessories Thread

On its own, the LG G3 is just about as good as it gets when it comes to Android smartphones. But if you are looking to step up your G3 game, you can start by checking out some of the great accessories available for the handset. From cases to car docks, memory cards to wireless charging, there are options aplenty for the discerning G3 owner.

Just seen the Air Dock wireless charger, and wondered if anyone has tried one out, also with the Quick Cirlce Case. It seems a great idea, but will it really hold the phone safe?

I saw a review video, of someone connecting an iPhone 5 to it, and he was really shaking it about and it did not fall off

There are other similar ones, with a magnet. My only question is if those work with cases or if the phones have to be naked, to work.

Finally..got my Sunsky "3800" Mah battery..

Charging..

It took USPS 5 days to deliver AFTER it arrived to my city. Holy cow..

Like I said, my G3 w/TPU case worked, but showed "Slow charging" message. Multiple beeps, dam'it. Disabled notifications with G3 Tweaksbox(Xposed module).

Yeah, it works. Charges to 100%. Don't know how long it needs. Guess overnight is fine.

Don't have any other cases, except my QC case, but that one doesn't count I guess :D

Hope to see an update on the life of this battery.
Do you have an app installed that can verify the capacity?

Just dropping by to say WASSUP! :D

That,& as you & certainly many others, battery life is a top priority/interest in any phone.More is good & even more is mo betta'.

I now have the OPPO FIND 7 which also has a battery-hungry QHD display.
While I easily make it through a typical day @ work, the occasions where I have more on-screen time than normal,I do notice a bit more drop-off compared to the same-sized screen in 1080p HD as on the 1+1.(CM11 Brightness/lux attenuation settings & Performance settings have taken care of this though,no more worries).

I'm guessing something close to this is the same on the G3.

Anyhoo,I hope that 3800 mAh battery is the real deal & provides the added life to bring it on par w/a similar phone w/1080 HD Display.

I don't believe in 3800 MAh for a second.

However, if it is as good as stock, then for $6+ it is well worth it.

I'll find out soon enough.

Will do couple of recharges before coming to the conclusion.

Good to see you :)

Right back @ ya! :thumb:

At $6,it's definitely worth a shot, figure it's gotta be at least something close to the stock capacity.

If any UK-based G3 users are looking to buy a second battery, can I recommend the following...

I've just bought an OEM (i.e. LG's own original manufacture) battery from ItsTek on Amazon UK. It cost

What's the consensus on a decent qi charger around $20? I tried a couple of really low end jobs on a whim, no surprise that they didn't work well :)

The cellphoneshop $8 and the eBay starlinkone $6 generic. Neither worked, tested with multiple cables and known good usb power sources.

Do you have the OEM cover w/ qi and nfc or a replacement qi sticker? And did you make sure that the contacts are being inserted/seated properly?

Also, what provider are you on?

Add on sticker.

Vzw.

Also checked the chargers with my nexus 7 2013.

One of the chargers was clearly do a, based on lights.

ok, just wanted to make sure it wasn't the sticker that was the issue.

That said, the oem LG charging pad (circle format) can usually be had for 20-30,depending on the deal. It's very accurate.

Just found the Nokia pad at a4c, but all versions seem to be out of stock.

There is also the pillow, which comes with that same Nokia pad

You can probably find deals on ebay for these as well

If you are willing to spend a little more, the Itian charging stand on amazon can be had for 31(3rd party) -33 (prime). That form factor is just like the TYLT stand, which had been the most reliable, but costs 49-100.

Good suggestions, thanks!

It looks like Andoer on Amazon is selling the A6 for $29 incl S&H, sounds like the way to go (The Nokia refurbs are attractive, just OOS. The Powerbot seems to get mixed reviews, either really good or really bad -- consistency in manufacturing?)

Mixed reviews? It gets 4 stars with 367 out of 686 being 5 star, and only 72 1 star. That's pretty solid. And I can confirm it works well for the G3, as I have one sitting on my desk.
