Help sound problem

Dear Sir
i have samsung galaxy s 4 mini (chinese version android) i can hear all sound from headset but couldn't direct from mobile speaker. when i check by code *#0*# and tested received by press play it will play sound . but not any other sound. can u please help me sir.

I'm not familiar with the galaxy mini, let alone the Chinese version, but I will try to give some theories. Some androids have a sound profile and individual sound settings for each function in the settings menu of the phone. If your phone has it, check and make sure the music profile is not all the way down. Its usually marked with a music note next to one of the slider bars in that setting menu if it's there. If the music is set to 0, and the rest are.set to 100%, it still won't play music.

Its obvious the speaker is working for it to give a test sound, now we just need to narrow down possible issues..

Anyone else wanna jump in and help our friend here with ideas too..
