Root [Sprint/Cricket] HBO Go say please insert SD card?

have a Samsung S3 4.4.2 Kit Kat Rooted with Towel Root. I used the kit kat external sd patch to use sd card for storage.
But now when i try to install hbo go it says please insert sd card. Other apps installed on the sd card work.
The you tube app also does not work and I suspect it is for the same reason. Anyone have an idea?

The apps are looking for a parictular name for the storage. Some apps use a generic term, like /sdcard. Other apps scan for what's there and use what they think is approriate.

I woulds look at your file system by going to a termanal emmulator and typing 'df'
That would show the disk file system.

Report back what you do, would 'ja?
 
Well my ignorance is showing. I do not know anything about terminal emulators. Here is a screen shot from root browser showing my file sys. I don't know if that helps. I thought I might have to tell HBO GO the path for the SD card but the program won't open .up for me to try to fix it

Yeah, that's missing a bunch.

What I'm looking for is something like /system, /data, /cache.. and so forth.

Try this one
It's the one I've been using for years.

When you open it up just type 'df'
That should give me what I'm looking for.
 
Thanks for the help. I downloaded the terminal emulator. I typed in 'df but nothing happens. I do not know what to do from there.
 
I am rooted with towel root. When I open up the emulator on my phone I can type the command but there is no enter key so I don't know how to make it x process the command
 
Maybe I misunderstood after all like I said I am a beginner here. I download the emulator onto my phone. Is it supposed to be attached to my laptop when I use it?

No. It provides you a terminal to connect to the Linux kernel that Android sits on top of.

Mine is a little different as I'm using a different app, but the pricipal is the same

Hello, I have the same HBO Go SD Card error on my Samsung S3 4.4.2 Kit Kat. The device is rooted and running a stock FreedomPop ROM. All other apps work on my phone with no issues. It's only HBO Go. This thread is the closest I have found to someone having the same issue. Similar data as requested from OP is listed below. Thank you, for any assistance.
