i said earlier that if they dont announce a price and release date its going to piss a lot of people off.
I think we often make the "echo chamber" mistake here. While this forum is chomping at the bit, like a lot of other Android/cell phone/Sprint forums or Facebook pages, the vast general public is either completely oblivious to the Evo or any of this stuff.
I know it's a shock what with hearing all these arguments and debates about leaked info and whatnot but unless you work in a techie field, I would bet that most of the people you asked at work or around the dinner table would have either passing knowledge gained from a banner ad or none at all.
Most people wait until either their contract is up or some blockbuster device like the iPhone or Droid comes out and really makes a splash. Then they go to their carrier's store, check out the models on display, and look at the price tags. Until the ads start and people start carrying them around, not many people will give a crap about the Evo or any other upcoming phone. We aren't the norm
And even as much as we are getting psyched, what are you gonna do if this phoen comes out in June? or July? Go get pissed off and go buy a competitor's phone to somehow get back at Sprint? Why cut off your nose to spite your face? If you want the Evo, then wait for it to come out and go buy it. If you absolutely need a smart phone now then go buy whatever is the best thing out now.
I'm as psyched as anyone and I love new gadgets. Computers and tech are a hobby of mine but I also have a job, a girlfriend, a dog, a social circle, a family, etc. I won't be getting pissed off if I have to wait until the end of May or the middle of June or whatever. I suggest we all do the same
