Maybe the best known crossroad ever. Robert Johnson and Eric Clapton sing about it. There's even a movie. Highways 1 'n 8 close to the Mississippi River, South of Memphis, ma'am.1411415982417.jpg

Will post most Graceland pics tonight.

Graceland, Memphis, TN this morning.

This looks like an amazing trip! I would agree with the Zion (Great hiking!-see Angel's Landing) suggestion as well as throwing in there Lake Tahoe (REALLY beautiful-see Emerald Bay), Roswell NM (only if not out of the way, just kind of fun and kitchy. Where the aliens landed:p)
Check out some of the hot springs in Colorado on your route, there's tons of them out there.
If you're not going to stop in Vegas, maybe you could make it to Reno for a little fun. Looks like it's closer to your planned route. Stop by the Mustang Ranch for a culture rich experience
Don't skip Hwy 1 in CA.
HAVE FUN and keep those pics coming!

Mustang Ranch? :eek::rolleyes:
I've been at the Cadillac Ranch near Amarillo in '11, and planning to visit the nearby Beetle Ranch this time. But that is a lot different ;)

We're in dried town McLean, TX :D
Bernalillo, NM tomorrow :p for a great night in the Range Cafe, and a hot air balloon ride at sunrise on Thursday.

Pics of today, that started in Maumelle, AR:

The bestest desserts in the whole wide world :p in the Bernalillo Range Cafe. Don't choose: go for both :D:D
The lady liked us and gave us a bag with more chew chew for in the morning :)

Okay... We had to check in for our hot air balloon ride in Albuquerque NM at 6.30 this morning. Dang early but it was worth it!

We're in Fort Garland, CO now.

A Colorful Colorado day today. The Great Sand Dunes in today's first rays of sunshine, an arty hippy town called Nederland (that's how us Dutch Ies call the Netherlands) and gorgeous Indian Summer in the Rocky Mountains.
(It's 101

We passed Steamboat Springs and the Great Divide today. Means: east of yhis divide all the water flows into the Atlantic, west of it into the Pacific. We used our Gopro cam for the first time today.
We have finished today's drive in Dinosaur CO, just a few miles from Utah. The motel owner is cool. He was willing to trade a bag of Dutch licorice for a few glasses of moonshine :D

Today was very divers, in weather and in landscape. We started in the rain, at the Dinosaur Center in Jensen, Utah. That is an incredible place. These pics are for Cayla :):p

Good morning from Delta UT in first morning light! Going west over highway 50; the loneliest road in America. 640 km 'immer gerade aus' into the Great Basin, Nevada. Playing Pink Floyd's Wish you were here out loud.
Hubby says: "but I'm not lonely cos I've got you here with me. "1411999585727.jpg1411999608132.jpg
