I read somewhere that she was freaking out about the phone because it had a font facing camera. I forget what she said, but it was something about pedophiles or sexting. Geesh, way to go Oprah!!

I am rather disappointed that she didn't actually endorse it... just made mention of it. It'd be a huge boost for Sprint to get Oprah-nation interested.

Oprah's talking about the No Phone while driving campaign that's going on, and it shows her sending a text. And she says she's using Sprint's new 4G phone, but that's about it.

we cant determine if they gave her the phone or just let her use it for the segment.
Since it clearly had numbers etched in the side of it.
 
Wow it is really hard to keep up with you guys, I propose to close/block/disable the thread on the weekends, so no explosion of posts happens when I can't read them. j/k

Anyways, I missed all the drama, but now I am up-to-date and more eager than before for the release of this phone. Go Evo, and did we ever figure out where in NYC is this event?

If you look closely right next to her thumb you will see what appears to be some kind of bar code which would lead me to believe that its just another pre-production model and not an actual retail version.

It was also stated by one of our members that final production phones can also have that as well.

It's just a tracking code cause while it may be a final model, they wanna prolly keep tabs on who has which device cause they don't want something like what happened to Apple happen with the EVO.
 
I agree that anything Oprah endorses or even mentions becomes a must have with her Jim Jones like cult following. So in that respect I see this as a positive thing. I also like how she is telling everyone not to text and drive and to text in to support that movement because texting and driving is deadly. In the same breath she has to tell hey AMAZINGLY BRIGHT fan base "Don't text it while you are driving" Oh Oprah, YOU SUCK :) BUT THE EVO RULES! BOW DOWN TO IS AWESOMENESS!!!!!
