Lollipop 5.0 [Its out! 11/12]

So if I flash my N5 with 5.0, will I still receive OTA updates e.g. Android 6.0 or do I then have to flash everything going forward?

Thanks in advance.

Assuming you are flashing a stock google ROM (from official google or android sites), you should get OTA's normally.

I have not had any problems at all with mine. Everything works as before and better.

I had to toggle back and forth between MTP and Camera mode several times before windows finally recognized it as a Nexus 5. Then all was well.

Mine only works with both MTP and Camera mode UNselected!

Now if I could just get around the SuperSU "There is no SU binary installed" problem... ugh.

Hello everyone. I tried to flash the OTA file but while i was giving the command to the adb i got an error that it couldn't recognise the zip file. The device is recognised by the pc and my phone is fully stock although i didn't know that it could work with the bootloader locked and i unlocked it before the process.

Try to redownload the file, and verify the MD5 signature after downloading. It may have been a corrupt download

I flashed and everything works fine... Except that every time my phone goes to sleep or I press the power button, it reboots.. Its only happening when I'm on lollipop.. I had to flash 4.4.4 again, since I can't use lollipop. Is anyone else having this issue or know what may be causing it?

You flashed the OTA or the factory image?

That def shouldnt be happening unless you are holding the power button.

Anyway to force the OTA to download on the phone itself? Im not big on downloading files to my PC and flashing them etc etc etc

I did the OTA first, and I had the problem. So I then flashed the factory image and I still had the problem. Its only happening while on Lollipop.. And it happens as soon as the phone goes to sleep or I press the power button. I have no idea what else to do.

After flashing the OTA files I am unable to access the Recovery option after getting into the bootloader. I clear my cache every now and then and enjoyed being able to get to this in the past.

Has anyone else had this issue?

You said you have no recovery would that be stock or ????. Now after flashing the files did you do a complete cleaning such as wipe data and cache etc.

It is completely stock. I flashed it using ADB and Fastboot. I haven't ever had any issues with the other updates when I have done it this way.

Did you do the reset as it was noted if you have problems with the update this would include storage and what you have . I would try the reset and see

The stock recovery still has the options to wipe cache on 5.0. Ive seen it, you just have to try the button mash a few times to get it to pop up.

Or are the issues actually accessing recovery? If so what happens when you select it from bootloader

This is what I was asking if you can't access the recovery I think you may have used the wrong files . I haven't seen nor heard of this one . But I think a reset would fix .
