Root [Boost Mobile] Tri-Band S3 (SPH-L710T)

I deleted everything off my internel and external and put that nandroid into internal and external along with my rom. And still nothing. Still saying "No files found"

EDIT: Forgot to put my sd card back into my phone haha. But it finally did something and then IT said "MD5 mismatch"..

What does that mean.

I just want to remind everybody that I'm checking for updates on the SPH-L710T everyday! When I get a update I will capture the OTA Link and get the stock firmware! I will also upload the file to dropbox and upload the original link.

Hi. I've been lurking for a bit, trying to decide whether or not to tinker with my wife's phone (sph-L710T), and so far...you guys haven't convinced me yet. :) Anyway, to answer your question, to the best of my googling skills, I'm pretty sure you erased the .android_secure file on your phone which is why you are getting the mismatch. I believe this file is created when your phone is rooted. I have provided a pic of the md5 file opened in notepad for reference. All of the files below the first two are provided by Morro's dropbox download. The first two you need to have on your sd card.

When I used another android to fix my phone, I had to open the nd5 folder and delete the files inside. Keep the folder. But that's been a while ago and I'm at work and can't investigate right now.

Delete (save a copy tho) n android.md5 file.

Create new file "nandroid.md5" (no quotes) will be empty file.

Retry the restore.

Can do all this from esfile explorer btw.

That's how I did it. Had to gig into my old memories....

How would I get the .android_secure folder back? Im just running into all kinds of problems! Haha!

well, looks like we are screwed without a .tar.

one will pop up before long, im sure. When it does, use odin to reflash.

I'm sorry to hear that, I thought it was going to work for you. I'm not skilled but I hope someone else in this thread can help you, or can modify the upload to work. I apologize for that.

If I need to upload it again, please let me know.

I got Morro nandroid to restore but nothing changed with the phone... still unknown everything as before so I'm just going to do triangle away and call boost. Hopefully they will send me a new one and not the T model! Thanks for everyones help!!!! :)

Well, at the very least, in 300+ posts, and many eyes and research, atleast we got some rom/kernel combos sorted out.

Now we just need a .tar for odin and I think we will have this thing all set!

Did you have to change md5 file to use the nandroid?

If so, ill change it in my copy of Morros in my dropbox.

^ still the same "UNKNOWN" bs.

I emailed Boost and told them about the problem. Last time I replaced a phone they sent me one and then I sent the other back. So hopefully they pull thru. Im done messing with it. If they dont do it, then Ill sell it to someone that knows how to fix it for $150. Lol

Also, you need to change the folder inside of backup to stock. It didn't work with me the way it was originally. And when people use the nandroid it has to be on the sd card not on the phone. Thought I would clear that up :)
