Android lollipop - Has anyone gotten the OTA?

Has anyone else on 5.0 been having troubles connecting to the google play store? I've been getting error after error today, and google support didn't know what was wrong. I've been able to use other google services fine though

After the install, mine complained saying I needed to login. Managed to click through and view all my apps. Still no problem doing so.

Well I was going to install today, but since I'm receiving a Samsung S5 in the next few days for free from my Father In Law, I'm going to hold off the update and leave it for the future buyer of my N5 when I list and sell, let them have the fun ;)

Anyone had any issues with apps not showing notifications? I'm having that problem with snapchat and groupme. (yes i checked and they both have notifications turned on and set to show)

Attempted to update the OTA since it kept nagging me. Ended up with "Error" shortly after attempting. Needed to volume up + power to reboot the thing. I did forget to unroot and disable xposed. Maybe it will not nag me for a bit...

If you are rooted with Xposed and want to avoid being nagged for the update, disable the Update service. I used the Amplify module for this, but there are other modules/methods as well.

Yeah, I got mine about 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know of an app that will turn off the "System update available" in my notification tray? I'm sick of seeing it, I'm not ready to update to 5.0! 4.4.4 is a great Android OS and I don't know if I will ever update to 5.0, I really need something to turn this notification OFF! Jeez Google, if I hit "Later" more than 10x on your notification would that not tell you that I'm not ready to update and you would make the notification disappear!?!?

If you install a custom ROM like Dirty Unicorns, you won't ever see a notif. for a system upgrade. I'm installing 5.0 just out of curiosity. I've yet to be happy with Android since losing 4.2. KK is the f'ugliest and most bland looking OS yet, hoping the "lollipop" experience is better....

If your phone is rooted, just disabled the Update Service. I used Amplify (Xposed module), but you could also freeze it with something like Titanium Backup.

I've had the OTA notification for a while but it won't install. It downloads and then when it does the reboot I see it trying to update then I get the 'Red Triangle'. It reboots again back to 4.4.4

Phone was rooted but still using the stock ROM so I did a factory restore, I'm still getting the same issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Getting 5.0 on my phone was a major pain in the ass. I tried everything including fastboot flashing individual images and running the TGZ package scripts with no luck. What finally worked was using Wugzfresh to unbrick, root and flash 4.4.2 back, and then let the phone update 3 times to 5.0

I spent 4 hours butchering this phone, but I feel it was worth it. 5.0 is really nice looking, smooth, snappy and battery life is double what I was getting running DU 443, and all of my usual apps work fine.

My only gripes are the lack of stock messaging (I hate hangouts), and keyboard looks weird with no key outlines. But yeah, wow. Love it.

My guess is he is not rooted ;)
