You know...I thought about that too! I've really pretty much given up on any real hopes of knowing the release date....but hoping it's not further out than June 13th. On May 12th...we should know more. If they plan a release a few days after that day....cool...or...June 13th...almost as cool! :)

i think thestreet.com is confusing the big NYC event with being an actual launch release event.

What brand of card did you get? I'm gonna have to get one, unless at least an 8GB card is packaged with the phone. I would like to stay away from Sandisk, since I have a flashdrive made by them that has malfunctioned. Makes me leery . . .

If you look at the invite thingy it says launch date..jackson put it on his post a couple of pages back..so..that would be sooooooo awesome to know when our evos will be dropped. I can't wait wohoo..8 days and we will know for sure :)

It's sandisk I've never ha a problem with a card of theirs. They invented these cards I believe.

I see no "launch date" ...?
 
The speculation from before, which I think is far more plausible, is that what is "launching" on May 12th is WiMax coverage for New York.

and most probably they will also announce the release date of the EVO at the same time ie June 6 and/or 13.

True. But they may still announce the date that evo will be launched as well. Keeping my fingers crossed. We know that WiMax is launching in NY and in LA. Idk..I am no expert. I am just guessing. And hopeing. :rolleyes:
 
It seems as though much speculation is going into the May 12th Soiree. I hope for my sanity, everyone else here's sanity, and the forums sake that they give us something more concrete than "You'll get the phone eventually, this year, probably." Banlandia may be having many visitors if we get no new OFFICIAL news then... :\

Nice to know I am not the only one. Sprint, please don't let us loyal custmers down..we really want our evos. My pre is getting crappy on me even with the newest updates.
