Root I lost root all of a sudden

Fellow members,

Something really weird happened and I can't figure out what happened. My VM rooted Volt was running fine on rooted deodex ZV4 ROM with CWM recovery for over 1 month then 2 days ago, I realized I couldn't install any apk files from ES Explorer. It would jump right to the dialer screen when I try to install anything. Installing from play store works fine. Everything else on the phone works fine.

So I decided to wipe my phone clean and reinstall the ROM and radio thinking this would solve any potential problems. Again, I am not able to install any apk. When I use Root Checker, it said I am not rooted.

Anyone else run into this problem?? Can someone upload the old ROM ZV3 in a zip file so at least I can revert back quickly using CWM, re-root, and reinstall ZV4??

Wonder what the heck happened that made me lost root??

When you reinstalled, did you reinstall superuser too?

If you still have CWM installed, just go install a superuser zip.

No idea what caused your initial problem.
 
Never mind, fixed my problem. Still don't know what happened but fortunately, I have another non-activated Volt and made a backup with CWM, then transferred the backup to my VM Volt and restore with CWM. I don't know why I didn't think of that sooner.

Thank you all. Also, anyone know why asmugone's ZV3 zip rom file can't be install directly with CWM recovery??
