Root (Port) Behold 2 1.6 ( No Twiz w/ Busybox & Rooted Kernel )

Has anyone looked into the file systems of Warheads? if using Astro File go to the root "/" then tap to "sys/devices/platform/power.o" inside power.o the files look identical, now in the same directory, tap "driver/power.o" again the files are identical, then continue tapping "driver/power.o" it seems endless! I went 6 deep and could not find a purpose to this. What purpose is this for?

Also, why is the CPU jumping around so much? That will drain the battery in no time.

Now on to my problem:

2 weeks ago I flashed Warheads onto my BH2, and installed updated kernel, TWLauncher, performed all the steps that have been covered numerous times here on this thread. I am using Home++ (although the launcher I use does not seem to matter). When I receive/place a phone call, the phone locks up. I am usually able to complete the call, however once the call is done the phone is frozen for up to 2 minutes before it starts to respond. After that, it is very sluggish for another minute or so.

Should I re-flash with Warheads, bootloader, PDA, PHONE to try to resolve this?

I noticed on the first post that it is NOT recommended to re-flash the Phone and bootloader.

Any suggestions appreciated!

That is a known problem in war heads, its not the bootloader or the phone that causes this bug, its Warhead's PDA. I had the same problem everytime I would make a call. So I switched to R9 and problem is gone, and I still have the same bootloader and phone!

I would Hold Off.. After I get R10 Posted I'll be making Similar Mods to the Behold 2 Rom ( Called Take5 )... In which it will be stripped down even further for speed increase & theme's removed.... As well Take5 will be the Last of these Rom's as well so I can cont. working on building & Testing Recovery / Kernels and further testing builds for Galaxy AOSP from source & Other Tests... as like the Galaxy Rom, not much more can be Improved at this point in Take5.

Please don't do the internet speed hack on this one. Having the reliability is much more important than slightly faster speed online. Thank you for all you do for us!

HaHa so i see you like the names of roms that I make up lol. Good to know I have a small part in your roms lol. Take5 was perfect, HUH!?! LMAO :D
 
It seems that the majority of the users that are haveing the major problems with Warheads had one of the Galaxy Roms installed prior and flashed over to Warheads. I personally flashed over from Stock TWiz 1.6 to Dots then right to Warheads. With the expection of battery life not being what I expect and some minor issues with the camera and sleep (which I think are a Samsung bug) I have had no issues like the ones that are being posted. Hmmmmmmmm, seems like a trend?

I would like to see the next update to Warheads be stripped and call it Twizzler!

Sorry Paul, take5 is a great name but I like twizzler way better. Take5 would only make sense to me, if each previous versions were more similar to each other, but they are not! Each one has a totally different theme and feel so not really like updates more like completely different "flavor". take5 implies more of the same IMHO but either way the name means nothing. It's the work that goes into making the rom that counts! Thanx for everything BH_MAN hope you dev for the htc incredible cause that's what I'm getting next. Just sick of Sammy and tmobile.

BTW I do know that take5 is a candy bar. Still like twizzler better. It's very reminicent of twiz!

It's named Take5 because it's the 5th No TWz 1.6 rom. Honestly I don't really care what you call it!!!! It just sounds like a nice pun is all.

You aren't using a conch shell for a case are you? Although very protective, they can be difficult to get in and out of pockets and may cause static that sounds like the sea. :D

ok, lol, just double checking! And yes the roms are close together. A theme, doesn't mean anything. It's the bug fixes and other added mods that make it an update. Just my 2 sense. Ok lol, lets no argue about stupid stuff haha.
 
Hey guys i really dont know where to start on flahing my rom. please if anyone could help just with the quick steps of what to do. ive been looking at these forums for the past 3 days and have no idea what to do.

1. read the topic How to flash rom by using ODIN which is sticky on this box. This will help you how to flash rom step by step
2. Back to first post of this thread, there are many different roms for you. ( Now, we have 3 rom topics : Galaxy- Stock without touchwiz - Stock with touchwiz ). However, the best rom is alway at the top. Just down load the rom you want and flash it by using ODIN.

Okay fine the next variant after Take5 should be called "SourPatch" :D its perfect! sour patch as in the candy but also it works for no twiz because think of twiz as the sour and this Rom is the Patch hence the term "SourPatch"
 
Take5 will be the Last Edition to the No twiz Rom's... Going to be spending a huge amount of time on it, so like wont be ready until Sunday at the latest.. Going to do what I did to R10 regarding Speed & Looks...

Might as well & try to make it Perfect as Possible for everyone & so I can Focus more on Build AOSP 1.6 & Kernel & Recovery Mods plus this will give everyone a chance to learn theming as well..

Oh... okay and cool so i am assuming that means R10 is the last galaxy as well? and yeah all that sounds good. Definitely the learning how to theme would be good

I am an advanced NOOB, but reading the threads I am a little confused. This thread talks about R10. I assume that this is referring to the Galaxy 1.6 thread where R10 has been released? Take5 is to be the last version of the Behold 2 1.6 no twiz w/busybox & rooted kernel?

I love all the revisions so far, dots, warhead, etc. Which one should I be the most excited about?

That is going to personal preference.

Because some of the code is different between the two the Galaxy Rom will be closer to "stock android" in my opion but some thing will not work like vibrate.

Take5 will have some the Touchwiz baggage but it is also more native for the phone so vibrate will work and I expect it may have the enhanced camera app that comes with Twiz. I do not know all the changes in store for Take5 so I can not be sure of this, just speaking general terms based on previous No Twiz builds.

I like the enhanced camera app and would like vibrate so if Take5 is as stable as R10 has been for me I will run Take5. If Take5 does not bring these enhancements or ends up having other issues because of the Twiz stuff, I will stick with R10.

I have been flip flopping between the two different ROMS for a while now, it is not an easy choice for me.
