Just received my new Android XRT Swift smartphone from China Mobile. It has the following spec -

ARM Cortex MT6595 Octa Core 2.0Ghz
Android 4.4.3
3G RAM
Etc. Etc ....

According to what I've read, this spec is pretty powerful. My phone is slow and pretty unresponsive.
I've run Antutu test and it's slower than my old Motorola Moto G by a MILE!

Surely the phone is faulty? Anyone experienced this?

Quite possibly it is significantly slower, Mediatek are not particularly fast CPUs, despite having "octa core". Mediatek are usually found in budget Chinese devices. Your Moto G has a Qualcomm Snapdragon, they're fast.

Phone is not faulty it's Fake! MT6595 gets over 40k for Antutu. Unfortunately what looks too good to be true @ that price probably is. Be surprised if it's even got 4 cores yet alone 8! Unfortunately this illegal practice is quite common with no-name China brands. You should've checked Internet before buying. MTK chips are now giving likes of Qualcomm a run for their money as seen in MT6752 64bit CPU. Even Amazon recently had Fake AMD CPU's selling there. I think the processor in your phones is one of MTK's lower rated processors, OS has been modded to mask it's true ID. Buyer Beware!

In the part of AnTuTu that gives you the phone specs, do they match up with what you think you bought? (I know that can be faked but worth checking)
