Help LG G2 Screen Freeze (blank screen) ??

Iroot works with KK and my phone because that's what I used when I got the phone :)

Does your G2 run quite hot when its been on a while?

It does not run hot. Maybe slightly warm if I have the screen on for very long periods of time but otherwise no.

Here is a video showing the slight glitch with window animation scale, transition animation scale & animator duration scale turned off.

Can you see the way the top of the screen jumps when I open or close a app:

And this is with them all set as default.

See how there is a delay in opening and closing apps and its just all round glitchy:

Wow, that does seem crazy. I wonder if you guys have any custom kernels. Looks to me like you could use some optimization in that regard.

Do you recommend any?

No idea if any even exist that will run on your device. Would be fun to mess with governer though and see if you could get better results. Maybe even tweak voltages or clock speed slightly. I haven't done that in a few years but it almost acts like your issue could have to do with one or more of the above. Somewhat of a guess but if it's not hardware, it almost has to be kernel imo. Strange they wouldn't get the stock kernel working better than that but maybe for whatever reason, certain random phones are not optimized with the stock kernel and it's settings. /speculation

Have you heard of Dorimanx 9.3 ?
Heard people mention it but I have no experience with it. But anyway if you were thinking of rooting and adding a custom recovery, I'd give it a shot. Or a similar custom kernel. Nandroid ahead of time though before flashing a kernel especially if you're going to tweak cpu, voltages, etc. Go too far and you can start to bootloop. If so, no big deal to restore backup. Maybe make one backup of stock, rooted first. Then another after you flash a custom kernel but before you make any changes to the kernel settings.

How can I reinstall the stock kernel?

Also I've installed twrp but im having a hard time booting into it.

Im holding the power button and the volume down button until I see the lg logo and then I let go of them and then press them again, but all it does is keep booting back to the lg logo.

There was a user or two along the way that claimed their key press combo was different. May have been Korean models. Want to say they had to press Power and volume up maybe the 2nd time? I'll see if I can find anything on it. You described how I get into my recovery perfectly though.

Hmm, can't seem to find it. Anyway you can use Terminal Emulator app too. "Type su to get root, Then type reboot recovery. That should work to get you there. Though you'll need to figure it out eventually in case you lose boot during your experimenting. :D

edit: give this a shot for kicks. When you release both power and volume down at the lg logo, press ONLY volume up after that. See if that works maybe?

got it...lol

You hold the volume up and the power and don't let go until you see Korean writing and then let go and it boots into recovery.

Thanks but that's the link I got the f320l firmware from.

The problem is that because I have a f320K firmware on my phone, the flashtool wont install the f320l firmware because it thinks my phone is a K :(

Well, you can buy the tot here:

http://www.lgbbs.net/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=413&highlight=f320l

Kinda blackmarket(ish). This, or a similar setup is where we've got several of the tots and kdz's you see floating around the web. Or try to find that posted elsewhere if you want. I haven't seen a public posting of it. How it works is you buy credits from the guy via Paypal. So the above tot costs $10 USD. He gives you a slow loading MEGA link and then you PM that to me so I can make it publicly available at all the free sites you've been seeing. :D

The thing is...we have a means to trick a tot into flashing even if it "thinks" you have the wrong version. ;)

Thanks but I cant say I trust that :(

Is there any way in tricking the flashtool to think its flashing the correct kdz ?

Well, all I can say is I and others have used that site. But hey, I understand the hesitation. Not sure about the kdz, let me try a few things. Gotta download it first.
