Please be careful. It's pretty clear that you are a novice with this stuff. It is overly easy to mess up your phone. Check, double check, triple check if you have to. No one wants you to brick your phone!uh oh..... i was moving too fast and tried to use flashify to flash the v4 rooted update
I'm fairly certain it's explained in the instructions that fastboot involves sending commands from your computer. I'm guessing the Galaxy is the only phone you have experience with? You can't expect everything is going to be the same on all devices. Please read thoroughly before rushing ahead.Ok... after hours of using my brain power i figured it out.... why ya'll aint tell me Fastboot was computer to phone lol i said i was a noob.... lol but damn this lg shit is crazy. i loved how simple galaxies was but hey can't be happy feeling accomplished

You can also just run this command in terminal emulator. When updating the kernel, there is no visible difference in the "Software Information" menu on the phone. With both ZV3 and ZV4 it reports "Kernel version 3.4.0+". Just to confirm that the kernel did get changed, here is some more info generated via "adb shell cat /proc/version". You can see that the ZV4 kernel has a newer date.
ZV3:
Linux version 3.4.0+ (lgmobile@LGEACI1R3) (gcc version 4.7 (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Mar 6 12:48:55 KST 2014
ZV4:
