Help Some (normal) apps restart after killing them with an app killer?

hosa

Lurker
To be clear, some apps like UCbrowser, Viber, AdvancedTM, just instantly restart by their selves and take up ram memory when i kill them with task manager, but NOT with android native "force stop".. so can anyone elaborate on this?
i really prefer to stop apps using third party apps..

Third party task killers are incredibly wrong and you'd be far better off if you stopped using them.

Furthermore, a great many task killers will report a LOT of running tasks (oh noes!) - that aren't running at all, they're simply cached and doing nothing. Trying to kill a hibernating app - is going to do the opposite of what you think - no good at all.

Our forums have countless threads by devs backing this up from every possible angle - friends don't let friends use task killers.

FYI, apps that do restart by themselves usually have (or are) service apps--i.e., they have a background (service) component (usually for syncing, etc.) that do things for you that you don't / wouldn't want to monopolize your device's foreground (UI) focus.

Services are written to know when they've been terminated by Android and to restart themselves. If the developer has a well-written app, there's no downside at all to this scenario / process.
