Help galaxy s3 cant get past setup wizard..

Andrew646

Newbie
I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 (one without a sim card slot, not sure if that is important here or not..) and for the life of me I nor the Verizon store here could get me past the Setup Wizard screen..

I have tried typing in some numbers on the setup they gave me and also the left right left right volume up thing and nothing is working..

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andrew646 and welcome to AF. I'm going to move this thread to the S3 discussion/support area. I'm betting the members there can get you through the setup on your new phone. Best of luck and thanks for joining and using these forums.

To remove the sim card slot, you first have to take the back off.

To do this, look for a little cut area at the top, and pry it off with your fingers, take each tab off carefully, (Oh, make sure your phone is off too for this next step) then take the battery out, and that's where you would put your sim card, the other blue square is for a micro SD card, once you're done put the battery back in and the back plate back on by clicking it into place starting from the bottom (btw, to remove the sim card/ put it in, you just push on it until you hear a click sound, same with the micro SD card slot).

i know how to remove a sim card lol i repair phones as a side job but for some reason this particular S3 doesnt even have a sim card slot, looks like sprint motherboard would. but anyways.. the main issue is getting past the setup wizard.

Try doing a factory reset via recovery?

Have you tried logging in to your google account on the phone on WiFi? It should ask you if you want to log in to wifi

i cant get into any part of the phone other than the setup wizard which doesnt even ask about wifi. just language selection and then it goes to an activation screen which it doesnt get past.
