Help sony z2 OTG

Im using sony z2 i tired to connect 250gb usb 2.0 external hdd via OTG cable..bt it was not working

Is the hdd bus powered or does it have its own power supply? What is the disk format?? NTFS? FAT32

Download HP USB format tool

That's intended for use with USB flash drives, not external hard drives such as the OP is using. Much better to simply plug it into a computer and format via that.

The drive should auto-mount and a pop-up appear in the notification bar warning of "USB storage connected" (or similar wording).
