Thanks again for everything!!

They said the official release date will be released in a couple of weeks, at a big event which I assume may be the May 12th event you speak of in NY. We will also hear about it in the weekly playbook soon I think.

Yeah, the original one you mentioned was 1:30 or something like that. This looks ready for primetime.

Almost ready...the phone is squished, and the movement of the phone and its splitting / reforming are pretty cheesey to my eyes. Nothing like Motorola's DROID ads, which I think are scary and scary-good.

Oh, and not to even mention the given release date--limited time free hotspot is a great idea. Builds hype, gains customers, satisfies enthusiasts, and still allows Sprint to make money in the long run. They should definitely do that, I think.

if free hotspot was a limited feature, from 3 months to even a year, i think that would definitely help sway people over an iphone. the trial might even convince some to pay for a permanent service....or even if it was a non-contracted-whenever-you-need-it type of service. hotspot-per-month sounds fair if they do so.

as long as the 4g network runs good, it'll make the evo shine even brighter.

during apple-week, i think free hotspot (even if limited-time-only) would steal back some thunder from apple.

I was hoping to have more and to take a picture but they wouldnt allow it. Also the kickstand seemed to be pretty strong. I have been following these posts for quite a while and followed Jackson on the Sprint Community since he seemed to know more then us. I just happened to meet with HTC today thus the update, Otherwise I was as much in the dark as you and hoping Jackson was right. Glad I could help!

has anyone seen this??

On solid Q1 footing, Clearwire promises two WiMAX smartphones - FierceWireless

"The company also promised to sell two Clear-branded WiMAX smartphones by the end of this year: A Samsung Android-based "3G/4G/WiFi device optimized for heavy video and video communications use," according to the company, and a 3G/4G/WiFi-enabled phone from HTC. Clearwire executives said both devices will carry the company's "Clear" WiMAX brand, and that the HTC device will be different from the WiMAX-capable, Android-based Evo 4G smartphone HTC plans to release this summer for Sprint Nextel (NASDAQ: S). Clearwire did not provide further details on the planned devices, though executives said the voice-calling service for the phones would run over Sprint's network rather than via VoIP on Clearwire's WiMAX network."

im blowing my brains out right now. I was wondering what happened to the rumored Samsung Android 4g phone from a year ago which was supposed to be the first, and the HTC device sounds like the HTC Scorpion!
