A sweet gesture goes around in the Netherlands: the anonymous scarf. Avid knitters and crochetters went to work to make scarves, hats and even teddy bears for unknown people. They are left in public places, in a clear plastic bag with a loving note to the finder, meant for anyone who could need a warm scarf/hug in cold winter. There is a Dutch Facebook group for droppers and finders (de anonieme sjaal) which also offers info in English. It is a national hit. Please bring it further!
