Help Mass Storage not showing up

Im trying to transfer files and such from my laptop to my phone. But i cant get Mass Storage option to come up on phone so i can do my file transfers... What should i do?

Yes.. all updated and all... its still wont show up on my laptop and i cant see mass storage option on phone either

If it's connecting as a media device, that's normal.

I know that. But my laptop is not recognizing the phone so i cant transfer files or anything.

Have you tried using Kies? It will make sure drivers are ok too just in case they got corrupted
