Help tablet to play on my TV

I bought mhl to hook up to my hdmi cable to play my tablet on my TV. Still nothing. I have a Samsung tab s tablet and a Samsung TV.

My wife just got an mhl adapter today for her Samsung galaxy s5 and it works perfectly.
Did you choose one that's specifically made for Samsungs (i believe they're wired differently)
Also did you plug in the charger to the box?

Not all Samsungs are, but the Tab S is, it requires an 11 pin MHL connector.

The mhl doesn't have to be Samsung branded (my wife's is a no-name £5 (7+dollar) piece of crap but it stated in the description that it works on modern Samsungs).
I was you, I'd take it back to BB and ask them to change it for one that they know will work on your Samsung tablet

PS there's no settings involved, just plug it in, switch your TV to the right hdmi input and it will mirror whatevers on your tab, homescreen, settings, youtube, whatever

The MHL 2.0 standard has a 5 pin micro connector - my phone follows the standard, so any standard cable / adapter works.

Your Samsung, along with a number of others, don't follow the standard and requires an 11 pin micro connector.

You can buy a 5 to 11 pin adapter for about three bucks if you can find one, they're out of stock where I go.

Or - get an 11 pin solution (cable or adapter) and return the one you have. I've provided a link for one above.

You must power an adapter through its charging port - on a 3 way cable, you must plug in the full size usb connector into a power supply, a phone charger will do in either case. (I think that you have that part sorted though.)

Yeah, they don't care, it's hard to stock proper accessories and keep people trained.

The go-to guy at mine looked at my M8 when I bought it and explained to me that he was getting one to put iOS on. I gave him our link and invited him to let us know how that works out for him.

I know when I connect the mhl and hdmi to my tablet it chimes like it recognizes it but doesn't transfer the video grrr. I usually can figure this crap out lol. I may have to take it back to bb. I hate that place but they were the only one that had it
