Help accidently lost camera pictures

I looked for them plugged it in to a comp. I am not sure if they went in internal . Do you mean hard drive? but they have not been there since Feb 6. Store said sometimes they can be moved or pictures deleted by phone if file to large. I did look in a lost.dir which search on extsdcard after installing ES file explorer. I am not sure. So many nice pictures such a loss. I wonder if phoning google or samsung. There are however allot of ? marks and some broken empty pictures showing after looking into it. One worked i renamed the first picure and that worked which got deleted but it was the picures i still have.
 
When you connect your device to your PC you should see 2 folders, card and phone. The card being your external SD Card. If you go into card, select DCIM and then CAmera, that's where I would expect to find your photos. Is there anything in there? There may be a DCIM folder on phone, also, what's in that one?
