Root [International] Reliable place for Samsung Note 3 Firmware

Alex PD

Lurker
Afternoon all,

I have broken my phone by fiddling with the flash and would like to try and reinstall stock firmware on my phone so that I can use it and hopefully unroot it in the process.

Note 3 N9005 Vodafone UK version 4.3. ROOTED

I used odin 3.7 (I am aware of 3.9 but not the best to use for note 3 'apparently') to reinstall stock firmware that I got off "samfirmware.com". I keep getting "auth" fails which I think is something to do with the checksum failing hence why it never installs. I had luck with a 4.5 stock flash but that went 9/10 of the way and failed.

Is there some place I can go to get stock firmware and does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get it back to stock? Or even a useful tutorial on how it all works. There are plenty on the internet but it's all very "ooh don't touch this just press this" nothing in detail so I could maybe understand what is going on and figure it out my self.

Any replies greatly appreciated.

Not the checksum failing, but your phone throwing a wobbly because you have reactivation lock on. Reactivation lock prevents thieving scumbags from factory resetting your phone, as such it makes Odin fail. To turn off (turn it back on once your done) On your phone go to Settings>General>Security. Scroll down to reactivation lock and make sure it is unchecked (off). :)

Reactivation Lock is off when I am in download mode.

It Does however get 9/10 of the way which makes me think with the first one the device thinks its trying to go backwards and doesn't like it.

Fixed it by following your CF root guide. Got it into recovery mode, cleared cache and factory reset. Boots into kitkat now. Keyboard has stopped working now which is a bit annoying but i'm sure ill figure it out hehe. Thank you for the help and esp the guide!!
