Help Glitchy touch screen when charging phone

Hi there,
I have a Blu Studio 5.0 ii D532u. It came with a charger with an input of 0.2A but that charger didn't work for some reason so I bought another one off eBay that has an input of 0.1A. However when I charge it the screen is hard to use, it's glitchy and I have to press hard to use certain functions. I can't seem to find another charger with a 0.2A input, would using a different input help with this? Perhaps a higher input?

Also, is this potentially damaging to the phone?

0.1 (and 0.2)A seems like a really really small current for a smartphone and I don't think you'll do any harm by using a higher current charger (since its the phone that decides what current to draw) but that wouldn't explain the laggy touch input.... I'm stumped with that sorry.

PS on modern phones it shouldn't matter how hard you press the screen (dont go breaking your screen lol)
 
Haha I don't have to press *that* hard but it's definitely annoying to use my phone while it's charging. It charges pretty fast actually despite the low ampage. So would like a 1A or 2A charger be okay to use? I found some OEM ones but all of their amps are higher
 
Oh yes it says 5V. I found a Samsung charger that reads as follows:
Input: 100-240 V 50/60Hz 0.35A
Output: 5 V 2.0A

The only differences are that my input is 0.2A and my output is 1A. Is the Samsung charger okay to buy then?

So what's the output of the one that came with the phone? (sorry I missed the part where you said "input" lol)

Cool. I think a 2A charger will be fine but I just can't see how it would affect your touch screen response
 
Does the device seem to get excessively warm while charging? Does the touchscreen go glitchy as soon as you connect it to the charger, or is it a slower/gradual change?
 
It doesn't get particularly warm and it goes glitchy as soon as I charge it likewise it goes back to normal as soon as I plug it out. Is it maybe because I'm using a third party charger? If that's the case, hopefully the new samsung charger will fi it.
 
Was the Amazon charger OEM? I actually had a similar experience with my laptop charger when the original one broke. I bought a cheap one that caused my touchpad to act up but when I got an OEM one it worked perfectly haha
 
Hmm that's a strange one.
Would you be willing to try a factory reset? (wipes everything from your phone and isn't guaranteed to fix it)

I just want to chime in that I had the same problem with an HTC one x+ and a generic charger. The electric in my home is bad. I fixed it by using a different charger, though I see you've already tried that. Try a different house :)

Hm I would rather not lol but if it gets worse I'll try that. I guess I can also resist using my phone for the time it's charging haha. I think it's mostly swipe options (like using Swype keyboard or getting notifications from the top bar by swiping down). When I just type normally it's decent, weird.

Sorry if someone has already suggested it but have you tried charging from a usb port on your computer? Since the usb runs off the pc power supply, and since the pc power supply is much more robust than a wall charger, it is unlikely (yet possible) that any electrical problems would carry through. It wouldn't be conclusive about anything, but at least could be a workaround for not being able to use your phone while charging
