Dialer on Turbo is Glaring and Clunky; Choices?

Hi. I really dislike the dialer that shows the pictures of all the contacts and is GLARING white.

Anyone use any others that have proven useful, particularly if a dark background and a list view are possible?

I've been using Dialer One for years, it's very customizable.

RocketDial and ExDialer get recommended a lot too.

I use ... Pixel Phone Pro ...with the Glossy theme and black background. I can actually read the numbers (but not the letters).

The advantage is ... get a new model phone ... use the same dialer and restored settings.

How do you "restore settings"? Sounds interesting.

It has a save and restore option. Backup on old machine and restore them on new machine.

Have you made Pixel Phone Pro your default dialer on an unrooted phone? If so, how? The Default buttons for both the stock dialer and Pixel Phone Pro are greyed out.

As far as I can tell I have always used the dialer that came with the phone. I never found a way to change it.

If not or if you don't use it as a dialer what do you use it for if you use "the dialer that came with the phone"?

Semantics. What is meant by "dialer"? What is meant by "default dialer"?

I am on a Verizon phone. It came with a preinstalled Phone app. I use the Pixel Phone Pro app and it organizes everything, It doesn't changer out from under me with a system upgrade. It can easily transfer all my settings to a new phone. It has many organization features. It has many customization features. One of them is a customizable dial pad,

When I make a call through Pixel Phone Pro when I hit the call button a Verizon screen appears and it is the provided interface while the call is in progress. Perhaps this only happens with Advanced Calling in Verizon?

That screen is what I referred to as the dialer.
