Root Flashing rom in TWRP stuck

also accedently deleted my backup so im gonna flash the kdz and root it, and put cwm on and restore the backup i have for cwm then put twrp back on
 
Hey everyone could someone advise me what to do on my LG l70 D320N if in TWRP when installing cm12, it hangs on "Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found". Dosent get past that and i have to pull the battery.
Please help asap thanks :)

Just wait, the flashing progress will run after it because the skipping MD5 happen to me too and i just need to wait. The clear sign to know that the flashing process run is to see the color of progress bar after md5 checking, it will turn sky blue from gray couple minutes or less after md5 check if you using twrp. From several posts you wrote before, it seems like you were in hurry or something..heheh.

i left it foe 20 mins and it still didnt get past that :/

What do you do?

First go to:

Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Check everything except SDCard then swipe.

Then Flash the ROM first. Not anything else.

If you want. Flash another ROM. CM12 is giving you problems.

If not. Flash PhilZ Recovery. and try from there.

ok did what you said, exacly the same outcome, i flashed gapps to see if its a problem with TWRP and gapps flash fine. I really want cm12 not any other rom, so wahat now.

EDIT: i flashed Philz and it came up with the android recovery animation and factory reset my phone and restarted. No menu appeard. WHat now

Still have the Phil's recovery image? If so do

Fastboot boot recovery.img (or whatever the file is called)

Philzs button combo is weird so do that.

i reboot recovery using adb but it came up with the recovery android animation and the factory reset my phone. how do i stop it from doing that, it does it every time i reboot into recovery so i flashed twrp back on. any ideas?
 
Do what I just said. Do not use and, try with Fastboot.

thats what im saying. i did that and rebooted into recovery but it came up with the android with the blue spinning object inside him like it was flashing something, then it restarts and factory resets my phone, no menu appears. Do you know how to get to the menu because i followed what you said but it just factory resets. maybe you could upload the .img you used incase it is different from mine.

If its from @crutchcorn then it's the stable one. I'm tired and don't know how to help,anymore. Since you have a d320n, try and contact @zlaja84 . Since I don't have a d320n. I don't know what's wrong.

Have you try to check your downloade rom file md5 hash? The 20150411 must be c1b441f9d73682b35c3c01e291f58312. If your value different for the same cm12 version, i afraid the rom file has corrupted...

its currupt Unless you mean the cm12.1 and not cm12, i havent tested that. any chance you could upload your one to a relibel mirror for me. that would be greatly appriciated! i get C1B441F9D73682B35C3C01E291F58312, different from you. PLEASE could you uplaod asap ;)
 
i checked the file on my pc as well and thats got a wrong md5 so its not the sd
just to help, do you know the correct md5 for the latest cm12.1 build

Just like what i thought, your file corrupted. Try to redownload the rom, because i had no problem with mine which is download from the same source/link.
 
I'm on ms323 and still on 2-19 because every time I flash it with cwm I get the forceclose error. Do I need twrp for it to flash correctly n fix the force close error? Or?
 
I'd flash twrp from the cm12.1 lg l70 form (not the cm12 form, cm12.1). It may work but I cannot say as I have a d320n but its worth a try. If you need help on flashing twrp ask on the cm12.1 for l70 fourm
