Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

So... you must hate most modern pop; seems there's a rap interlude in everything.

Okay, so we know what you hate. What music do you like?

I'd prefer to be wide awake during a colonoscopy with a fire hose to rap.
I've got a colonoscopy coming June 16 (it was originally on June 1, but, it got rescheduled).

no one, your post brings me more fear and trepidation... at least I will be OUT while they do mine.

Limp Bizkit and Eminem will probably be playing in my earphones, if they give me a music option like they did during my two hour MRI. However, I will make sure to request my faves...

Eek. LW

I do indeed hate radio gaga.

Amongst my favorites, Floyd, Hendrix, RUSH, Buckethead. Recently started digging surf music.

Oh. You're a Rush fan.

: rolleyes:

I half-expected you to be a Country fan. Old-school, George Strait country, not that Shania Twain sh*t...

I'm just messin' with ya... I listen to most genres, though Mumford & Sons bothers me for some reason.

Oh, and I can't stand Nightcore...

I like Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, all that mindless pop, it's usually fun to sing along with & is generally positive & upbeat. Sometimes I think maybe I'm supposed to have more grownup tastes in music at my age? But I don't care, I like what I like! [emoji4]

I once dated a guy who told me the kind of music I like is horrible... we're no longer together (that's not why, though)

I don't see how something that's free & makes me happy, could be called "horrible"? [emoji19]

Having an itch I can't quite reach.
Not being able to sleep when I am very tired.
Adults who text like they are 12.
Zealots and/or extremists.
Criminals disguised as police officers.
Stubbing my toe at night.
Red Sox Fans.
Rap.

Sudden death due to insane chip on my samsung note II only 3 months after the 2yrs warrenty period. That really pissed me off.

Mindless 'happy-as-you-go' pop music is relatively harmless.

PattiCake, listen away, and be happy. :)

It's the music that insidiously divides us in the United States that worries me.

AM Rock in the '60s and '70s, while being poor in sound quality, played everything that made the Top 40 - The Beatles, then, the next tune would be Aretha Franklin; followed by The Beach Boys, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Conway Twitty or Roy Clark, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles... Hendrix... Joplin... then...

As the '70s kicked in, Brownsville Station, The O'Jays, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, and...

I miss those times. Our nation, trying to come together, via radio.

Now, radio divides us - especially in the talk show format. SiriusXM fills the void, but, the old magic between the deejay and listener has disappeared - unless you're the right caller for those free concert tickets.

Interestingly enough, one of my favorite deejays is George Noory on Coast To Coast AM. He covers the paranormal, UFOs, and subjects that are informative and mind-opening about current events.

My hopeful rant - LW
