Help HOW TO KEEP FROM BEING TRACKED?

It has been all over the news and I missed how to. I have an old obsolete Motorola Bionic so can you give me step by step instructions? I have been meaning to ask this but forgot Until I just received an email from Angie's List who I have NOT been a member since I cancelled 6 months ago stated all the places I've been and wanting me to write reviews!! Now let me make this clear, the places I've been they mentioned were Not typed on my computer or phone....I haven't even called either, just driven by!!! I know big brother is watching but this is ridiculous!! And No I never set my location unless I'm using GPS. I am So glad I don't cheat on my wife or involved in any illegal activities!!! Wow this is some kind of scary for me....I don't want anyone to know what bathroom I use or what hand I use to wipe in my own house....or should I visit my next door neighbor that was Ms state beauty queen!!!

Thank you in advance for telling me how to stop from being tracked!!

Did you actually remove and delete their app, or could it be still running in background, despite you having apparently cancelled membership? Apps don't necessarily need GPS, location via cell tower and WiFi can sometimes place you quite accurately. How did you register to this service in the first place, did you link it to Facebook or something, do you use Facebook, Google+, Twitter, or other social networks?

I had a look at this "Angie's List", but first thing it wanted was my "zip code", so that was the end of that for obvious reasons.

Mike, Angie's list is some kind of website that offers reviews on plumbers, roofers, ect.

Mike as Guggy said this is actually a legitimate and very good website that even made Forbes 500 but I no longer need their services. I see you're in China and this was big news here in the states and they showed how to go into settings and make yourself private where they can't track you both on the android and iphone.

Those stories have been talking about Google location history. It's at accounts > google > location settings > google location history
Thanks man, now I'm really surprised because it has been off since new I guess. Now I have no clue. Here is a screenshot if I'm on the right one.

Yeah that's the right one. If you have multiple devices, you may have turned it off from there as there's an option to "disable for all devices" or similar. There may be a question at the initial setup relating to Google location as well, if so you likely denied access at that time.
