Help Changing the volume of calls without volume buttons

Basically the volume down button on my Desire HD isn't working anymore and I couldn't figure out a way to adjust the call volume without using the volume buttons. My volume was fine but I accidentally turned it up slightly and now I can't turn it down, my ears get destroyed whenever I'm on the phone. Is there a way to change the volume somehow? The android version I have is 2.3.5.

Adjusting the volume via Settings:

1. From the home screen, Press MENU then tap Settings > Sound > Volume.
2. Drag the volumes to the left to adjust the volume levels, This will play the sample tone with the volume you have adjusted.
3. When you are done, Click OK.

that doesnt work, i already have everything turned to 0 from there, it doesnt include call volume. thats why im asking in the first place

I'm not sure you can change it. Unless the above solution changes in call volume when you are in a call?

If the above app doesn't work, let me know and I'll dig out my old Desire HD to have a play about when I get in from work.
