Root How can I UN-ROOT my galaxy S5 on o2 Uk.. Lollipop

Zanielle

Newbie
I rooted my phone using SuperSU and TWRP files. Now I want to un-root it and can't find a method that looks simple enough for my understanding. If anyone can help, please do.
Thank you, Danielle.

Download the latest stock Samsung firmware for O2 UK to your PC...

Go to settings in SuperSU, if you have it installed in your app drawer, and select, "Full unroot", and then flash the above firmware using Odin and by following the instructions and video in the links in #1.11 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

Hey Ironass, thank you for your response. I'm going to copy and paste a PM I sent to aanother member on here earlier.
But for your information, I used this link to un-root How to Flash and Restore Galaxy S5 [All Variants] to Stock ROM Using Odin3 - W0lfDroid and downloaded the latest UK version firmware for my Lollipop S5.
Using Odin, I managed to flash the stock 5.0 Lollipop onto my phone, successfully with no problems! Whew!
But then when the homescreen loaded I noticed my usual o2-UK symbol hadn't shown up at the top of my screen. I went into my settings and selected o2-uk and removed the Virgin apps that for some reaason ended up on my phone.
I'd now like to get rid of the developer mode and turn off usb-debugging. I'm just not sure what will happen if I turn off de-bugging, and I also have no idea how to get rid of the develeper options tab in my settings. Do you know the easiest way for me to do this? Also, once had un-rooted, I uninstalled SuperSU and I also used root checker to make sure and it said my device is not rooted.. which is perfect.

This is what I'd like to get rid of..

I would not worry about USB de-bugging or Developer options, they can prove very useful.

Could you post the exact stock firmware details that you flashed to your phone.

I'm not sure how to do that so I'll have a fiddle around. I'm not too technologically challenged so shouldn't take me long.

I'm worried about the developer options cause I'm scared I'll click something by accident or It'll change things on my phone?

Tried to attach the file but it wouldn't let me. It doesn't sat o2 but it says UK on the list

The above is the stock Samsung unbranded firmware for the U.K. CSC code OXA and not the stock carrier branded firmware for O2 U.K. that I linked you to in post #2. As per the warning in #1.11 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide that I linked you to...

"This is for competent users and could void your warranty by flashing any firmware other than that intended for your original CSC code, see #1.8 above, as well as preventing future updates through Kies or Over The Air, (OTA)."

I'm worried about the developer options cause I'm scared I'll click something by accident or It'll change things on my phone?

If the Developer options did not disappear when you flashed a stock firmware then I know of no way of reversing it short of possibly a Factory Data Reset.

Well, my phone is on o2, yes. But when I purchased the phone from VERY in the UK, I purchased it open to any network. I have since then had a T-Mobile, and o2 sim card in it. So when I bought the phone it wasn't on any network and I had to register with the network when I got the sim card.
Sorry for not including this information at the start, and if it's messed you around, I realize it could probably have been helpful to mention. It's just all so confusing to me.

I need a drink! ;)

Install, Phone INFO ★Samsung★, free from the Play Store. Under the heading, "CSC code", does it say, "Original CSC code", is, "BTU"? If so, stay on the firmware you are on.

I'm so sorry, I know people like me must be your absolute nightmare! I promise I'll never do something like this again lol. I'll do that now and get back to you. Thank you so much for your help and patience :(

I've screen grabbed both the first tabs you'll understand them more than me.
