Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

Another thing that may help you fix the problem, after i reboot and go back to market or data sync i need to sign in again, even though i already signed in before reboot.

This is just another symptom of the 0 bytes free problem. Since there is no storage available, the system cannot even store your login info. I have already posted all this before.

Hey, just to repeat. I do not use A2SD nor have I ever used it. And I *still* have the 0 bytes free problem.

The system is still setup to support it by bh_man!!! So use it or not it's still set up the the system folder...sorry guy but you're confused it is embedded in the system don't believe me? Go to system and you will see the folder that says SD!

OK sorry, I didn't know that. In that case yes I would suspect that A2SD is causing this problem. I agree with you... why do we even need it? If someone needs it, let them install it on their own.

Wow..... Come On Guys Really?.... I Gave the Answer Like 1 / 2 Pages Back what Is Causing this...

First,
It is Not an Issue with A2SD!! Get this out of your Head!

Second,
After you Flash, Boot into Recovery and Let is sit for a Second! DON'T Hit MENU YET!!!

Third,
After letting Recovery sit for a Minute, Hit Menu! At this point it will Reboot :D

Now, The Problem is I have all the Recovery Tools in a Folder that needs Copied over.. When MeNU Happy People just hit before it can copies all the files it needs which corrupts the Data / cache...

Well you're More than Welcome to use the Stock Rom ;)

Ok, but question: Can you tell us why a reset is even necessary? I mean we're flashing the system clean so why does reset make any difference? It's an honest question so please be gental in your response

Thanks, but I'm more confused than ever. I guess that explains why this works for some not others but...

When *exactly* do I hit menu? "Let it sit for a minute" is kind of hard to interpret. Sorry for being so stupid, but can you try to spell this out for the MENU-happy folks out there... LOL... I am definitely menu happy I think... I was hitting MENU like a madman to make sure it took.

I'm still not even sure if I'm supposed to hit MENU once, or twice, total?

After You See the Options in Recovery, Reboot *** / etc....

Count to 5, then Hit Menu :D

Only hit Menu Once :D

doesn't answer my question at all. question was "Can you tell us why a reset is even necessary?", but whatever. can you explain why i had none of these problems coming from the stock 1.6 build then while everyone coming from no twiz is?

Yay this worked! Thank you!

@Everyone else having the 0.00b available problem:

I was misreading this:
After you Flash, Boot into Recovery and Let is sit for a Second!
I was going to Menu > Settings > SD Card & Storage > Factory Data Reset.

This is obviously incorrect. After flashing the ROM, simply turn your phone off. Then with the phone off, hold down Vol Down + Send + End/Power until it says "Recovery Mode.........."

Then after waiting for a minute, hit Menu and the phone will complete a hard reset. Once it boots, your memory should be correct and have no problems.

Thanks BH_MAN again for helping us out!!

Wow, look I'm Not trying to Be a Jerk but I answered your Question..
it can't copy the files it needs which corrupts the Data / cache

I Have Tools location on the /system which it needs to copy for Recovery to work correctly... 1 of the Tools is the Fat.Format Binary which is the Tool for resetting the our Partitions..

It been this way for awhile now, These Tools are not on the 1.6 Build.....
If it's Becomes that big of Issue, Flash to an Older recovery..

I've been doing it this way for awhile now, but maybe the script is getting messed up, or maybe it was a bad upload..

Point Being...

When you doing a Reset! Don't hit Menu button Superfast, give it a second to Fully load... Most 10 seconds, so it can Copy all the Tools for recovery..

& Always Use the Menu Button key for doing Hard Resets....

thank you for the more in-depth explanation. i wasn't understanding what you were saying. btw i'm having no issues at all and that's what i find strange. i'm just trying to help those that are. i never had any problems with r11 or kernel6, so thats why i'm interested

No Problem.. I do know Posts Get Lost & people Forget :D

I'm just blown away how quick everyone forgot not to use the Menu > Select > Reset LMAO...

If I new they was doing it that way, would have saved everyone a huge amount of time...

I guess I'm just getting snappy at answering all the same Questions for every rom is all..

Sorry man,
~BH_MAN

no apology needed man. just know that some of us do TRY to take the burden off you, but we don't always know the right things to say, but some of us do try. btw i would be sick of the questions too. no hard feelings at all. ONE LOVE!

Went to the recover menu, hit menu when BH_Man logo came out, flashed kernel 7 and still getting tts service fail. Is everyone else tts service working or having issues as well?

Thanks for the sarcasm. You have been here for a while, so you know how this goes. When you're' & come to a site relevant your device & issues, one tries to read or look for info on that site before going somewhere else.

I've programed systems, just new to Linux systems. Is it customary to demean someone before answering their questions?

Okay due to the Over whelming post & Question regarding updating the kernel and other issue...

Going to Post R12
- Will include the new Kernel
- TTS Bug Fixed
- Swype Bug Fixed
- No need for wiping ( As this was caused by the kernel upgrade )
- Little better Battery Life..
- Remove some back ground services hogging Battery... Yes I noticed a Major Drop in battery..
