Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

What a long strange trip it's been... though, to suck - figuratively, as well as literally - falls under 'freedom of choice' :).

I've sucked many times, in the studio... live, however, I've learned that any wrong note - played, or sung - can turn into a grace note.

Modulate quickly, upwards or downwards - and, consonance can be achieved.

Still, in almost 53 years, I've experienced more people in my life that didn't suck. no one, feel
free to suck.

It's your world, and it's okay by me :). LW

I heard something a few months ago - it was Christopher Walken calling Xbox Live support - & it was pretty funny, but I think it was an impersonator. But the real him sure seems to have a cool sense of humor. :)

Always.

I met Christopher Walken in Chas, SC. He seemed appreciative of our band's mix, and none of us had the ballz to ask him for an autograph.

He was reserved in his personality, and the people he was with seemed to take offense that a bunch of band guys and crew were hanging around their table.

I know that we weren't there for five minutes; he was reserved and affable, and we tried to make a graceful exit.

Which, we did. One other experience comes to mind, when it comes to actors.

Andie McDowall. In person, and this was back in 2009, she was in shorts, and a sleeveless shirt. After all, she was on a barrier island. Without makeup, you could see her age approaching - but, she was absolutely charming.

Her daughter, an underage college girl, was trying to get served at the bar. They refused her service, and, she turned - and pointed at her mother, Andie.

"That's my mom. You're still not going to serve me?!" she fired at the bartender, who just shrugged his shoulders.

Andie walked up to the bar, and said: "You're okay with me, following the law. She can wait until she gets home."

It was then I asked her for an autograph (on a bar napkin), and she signed it "May peace and serenity surround your life. Andie."

Her autograph was apropos, as it was my beginning of being drug-free. A year later, the alcohol stopped, too.

I remain clean and sober - for, which I am grateful. However, if I were left in a room, in restraints - forced to watch a non-stop run of Will Ferrell... all of my hard work may come to a crashing end. :)

The daughter's trick wouldn't have worked on me...I've never heard of Andi McDowall.
Andi, or Andie McDowall, was the female lead in the film with Bill Murray -'Groundhog Day'.(PattiCakeUS nailed it :).)

A well-known model,
she made a few films, but she still does Loréal commercials on television. She has a very unique facial bone structure - natural, yet with her mane of wavy hair, she's quite attractive. LW :)

It probably should have an accent over the second O. Comes from Cristobal Colón. Supposed discoverer of America. American keyboards aren't too good at accents. I've got the ASCII equivalents.

Don't I know I know that. My keyboard doesn't understand my Southern accent at all...

My rant for the hour (it's one of those days already): if you know that the math used for inspecting something in the manual you wrote is wrong, then how about putting the correct math in there?

Oh, it's too complicated for a mechanic to understand without direct supervision? Then keep the old math in there as an alternative for the mathematically impaired.
