I've wondered about the OPO with CM (and Oxygen OS)but at time I bought my Moto X2, they were still on the invite system and I don't have that kind of patience lol.

Lol I bypassed the invite system and got mine from Amazon. Couldn't be happier with it. Even stock cm12 runs like a dream. It's the only phone I haven't even had to root/rom :thumbsupdroid:
Is OPO staying with CM in your region or going to Oxygen?

**Edit**
For my taste the N4, 5, Moto series and the OPO are still viable and great devices...I dislike the phablets and was terribly disappointed in the N6 form factor. More to the point I will be looking for an OPO now lol.

Aparently cm will continue supporting the OPO but the OP2 (or whatever they call it) will run oxygen :thumbsupdroid:

I agree about the size of the n6. My opo felt huge for the 1st week but now 5.5 is my sweet spot

Do they actually still make phones and tablets with only 512 RAM? Apart from 400 yuan, absolutely bottom line cheapo that is. A problem with low-RAM budget cheapo is they frequently lack much internal storage, and can be as little as 1-4GB. So not likely to be installing many huge games anyway, especially multi-gigabyte extravaganzas from Gameloft, EA, Glu, etc. such as Asphalt 8.

I'm fairly sure I've seen recent phones with 512 memory mate lol.
I remember my 1st Android had 256 ram and 600mhz cpu (overclockable to 800! Wow that wee phone was a hackers dream. It could be sim unlocked for free online and rooted, CWM installed without a PC. You might remember it the ZTE Blade (orange subsidised it and sold it for 100qid as the Orange San Francisco not realising peeps were buying it with the 10qid simcard and unlocking, rooting and romming it right out the box. 3" display man hardcore.

Sorry for the off topic peeps. Nostalgia lol

It has 1.2gb int mem and with sd card it can handle all 3. And it has casual apps as well. KK mem managment OP for ram

1.2 GB internal on a new device, that has to be something bought online from here in China isn't it? What actual phone is it? I'd be interested to know. :) ...even as something as lowly as a Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 has 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, and I can buy for 800 yuan, about the equivalent of $120 USD. :thumbsupdroid:

I know you can't normally use SD for apps, certainly not with Kitkat, unless you're using something like App2SD, and the phone is rooted.

Ok so we're talking about something that's not generally available in North America or the EU, unlike say a Samsung Ace 4. :thumbsupdroid:

I think this might be worth reading.

Bare in mind AF is a US forum, and more than half the members are North American. But if you're in somewhere like China, like me, India(Micromax), etc. things can be somewhat different with what's generally available, without having to order online and import.

FWIW I tried running Asphalt 8 on a quad-core 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM device, a Samsung Galaxy Win Duos, and it was only just playable. Oppo Find 7, my current device, it's runs beautifully, full detail on.

Wonder if this site has some kind of metric of nationalities.. I'd estimate a bit higher than you at around 80% North American I think.
Doesn't usually bother me though and I learn a lot about n American phone/carrier stuff

A lot of the upstarts and low end companies still have 512mb offerings, Blu is one I know of for sure...its amazing that a pocketable device in 2015 has more processing power than my old server back in 1995 (3 486's daisy chained together lol)
My first Android had 3.2" display a 528mhz processor, 192mb ram and 256mb internal storage lol...it was love at first sight.

Ok I was looking at Blu, they do $20 feature=phones as well. When I've been looking around China Mobile, Unicom and Telecom stores recently, just don't see feature-phones on display now. Sometimes see them with the smaller cheapo backstreet and market traders. It's all Android, and OK specs, like 1-2GB RAM for a reasonable price, under equivalent of $100 certainly. And what isn't Android is iPhones, no Windows, no Blackberry.

Likely Blu's devices are from Chinese manufacturers, and they're just customized and branded for them, they're an importer.

Ok this is frigging insane how in the world can that device run mortal kombat x so good i mean its 512mb ram right? and that game is love at first sight. Of course the memory usage is so high, that when you exit the game I dont have the launcher cached (it restarts), and leftovers like Messenger, wich i forgot to greenify are closed.
Going to put this thing into the last 2 tests:
1.NOVA 3
2.Modern Combat4-5
NFS MW can't run so I guess there are the last 2 demanding games.
In my country, 512mb RAM are the most accesible, while I can barely see devices with more than that, those being Samsungs wich are around 200$ for a galaxy duos 2 I think wich has insane
specs for me, but the currency is so bad, that if we name my country's currency C, 1C=4$, 1C=5 euros. You can deffinetly feel the pain.Plus I really dont want to spent so much on the phone, like I did on the Mini 2 where I bought it right when it launched for around 200$, it was a very very nice device with 2.3.6 wich was at that time WOW (4 years ago) and it did do his job for around 3 years when every china phone were easily surpassing it.
At this rate I might stick with this one, and when It gets old, Im gonna get such a nice frigging phone that might ran everything that is now demanding+some of the futures 7D games.
