So how can I check for rat on my device (teehee sorry rat means something different where I live) but without that bitdefender joke?
And will the new Android M apps put an end to this (paranoia)?
Paranoia will destroy ya.
Smartphones have been outselling PCs for some time.
Android accounts for some 80% of that.
Bad guys consider us a target rich environment.
It would be the acme of foolishness to proclaim a malaware-proof operating system of any kind with our present level of technology.
All that's possible is malware-resistant and good user practices.
Everybody is connected to everybody so security is everyone's business.
Stock Android may well be the most malware-resistant operating system on the market.
That's true despite the idiots in the Apple-biased press that drool at every Android malware report as if the sky is falling, iOS doesn't have any, and we're not all in the same fight together (none of which are true).
I'd have to check. I don't think that there has been over a few thousand cases of a RAT found on Android user phones.
The most important security statistical number is this -
One.
That means you.
What you do with the above information is your choice.
The sky is not falling.
But we are under attack.
