Galaxy s6

My new galaxy s6 gets a little warm on the top left side near camera and this happens after light to medium use , should I be worried ?

It depends how hot it gets. Install an app that displays temperature.
I only worry if I go above about 55°C.
Smartphones can get very hot. All that power and no cooling fan.
A poor carrier signal can cause a lot of heat.
As a rule I'd say if it's comfortable to touch it's probably ok.
Also if it gets dangerously hot the phone should turn itself off

It does not get much hot but still I am worried because it gets warm after very light use

Lol How strong is your cell signal? Go to settings, battery, tap on the graph and it will take you to another graph. Below that there is a colour coded line of your signal strength, green is good, red is weak, orange is mediocre.
Low signal strength causes heat.
Seriously though if it's comfortable to touch theres no need to worry. Your battery might just not last as long
PS if you're charging while using it will get warm

The phone is metal. It conducts heat better than plastic, so it's only natiral that you'd feel the heat more with the S6. Anyway, Samsung has an inbuilt notification where it notifies you if the phone is getting too hot. The phone will automatically stop all apps with an overheating notification.
