There may be a problem with that TWRP or the zip. I don't own this device so I am unable to test. The recovery itself has been tested though so you can grab the img and use flashify to install it.I tried the v2 zip did not work for me I will try again I went into my current TWRP went to install then went to external/sd found my correct Zip then just did the basic swipe to flash?
I will test the flashable and fix it as requiredI tried the v2 zip did not work for me I will try again I went into my current TWRP went to install then went to external/sd found my correct Zip then just did the basic swipe to flash?

Does this method bypass the factory reset altogether?i have also noticed that to correctly enter recovery from power off, you need to hold down the volume down buton and power at the same time, then let go of power at the logo but still keep holding on the volume, then immediately repress the power, and viola
Yes. So nothing is wiped.Does this method bypass the factory reset altogether?
You mean yes. He is thinking about when your on TWRP. You go to the factory reset menu from power off and it does not wipe the phone. No, but when I used the method you guys showed me, I could never get it on the first try, this method never fails
Ok, that's what I figured. Just making sure there was not a better way to accomplish avoiding the factory reset without hacking TWRP source. No, but when I used the method you guys showed me, I could never get it on the first try, this method never fails
You still can factory reset from TWRP.Ok, that's what I figured. Just making sure there was not a better way to accomplish avoiding the factory reset without hacking TWRP source.
Correct.I mean it still goes to the factory reset menu but it doesn't actyal reset it goes to twrp
