Help with LG tablet

I have an LG G Pad 7. It's a decent tablet for the price. I have an 4G LTE version for At&t. I want to disable the annoying Knock On feature. I've had no luck. It seems to disable it you can only do it on a phone with the dealer. The screen loves to turn on just picking it up or setting it down. I just want to use the power button to turn it on or off. Also I'm not going to use a cover for it. I feel the software was a scam to get you to buy a cover. Please help.

Type in 3845#*850# from the dialer, you can turn of the knock on feature from the hidden menu, i think... been a bit since i messed with one.

It's tablet not a phone. It doesn't have a dialer app or the hardware to support it. I downloaded various dialer apps to try this but it failed. So a dialer is out of the question.

did you try what funky posted ^ ?


  1. First open up the settings on the device
  2. Tap on Display (under Device)
  3. Locate and tap KnockON
  4. Tap the checkbox to enable the feature
 
Under display on my device there is nothing for the knock on feature. I have looked everywhere in settings. I rooted the tablet and can't
find an app to disable the script.
