Root LG Volt 2?

Hmmmmm. No hardware navigation keys, smaller battery (3,000 mAH -> 2,540 mAH), same processor speed...

I think I'll stick with the Volt I've got now. It'd be nice though if the batteries were swapable, although I'm guessing they won't be.

Ya I may get the volt 2 but keeping volt 1 activated for now until root is available for 2 it seems nice but I'll miss the led button for some reason I liked that.

Not worth the $150 they are asking..... Sorry! I saw a few improvements. I think the 410 processor is 64-bit? It has a bigger screen, improved front camera, and Lollipop. Don't like the buttons on the back. I agree with others. It needed 2gb ram, at least 16gb rom, and it should have kept the bigger battery for sure.

The battery would die pretty quick now because the Volt 2 contains a very high resolution screen which surely kill the battery I no time. I would choose the Volt 1 over the Volt 2 any day.

I have it. The battery does NOT die quick. Strangely it lasts almost as long as the original Volt(which I had as well)

The 50$ retail price hike isn't worth it. Screen is slightly better but smaller battery and lack of hardware buttons sucks arse. I'd rather cough up another 50$ and get a unlocked phone with WAY better specs.

Agreed. I recently got the Alcatel Idol 3 on sale for $200. Best phone I've ever had. Jumped to Cricket from Virgin and I'm very happy that I did. Not only do I have a better plan from Cricket for the same price I was paying Virgin, but I can use any GSM unlocked phone out there.

I think the devs here might have a more concrete answer to this but is it possible to port the Volt 2's stock rom to our Volt? Other than the screen size and front cam different there's no reason for the "Volt 2" IMO.

Mmmmm I suppose I could be done, but why? We already have all sorts of other custom ROMs that are better than anything LG could give us.

Get the volt 2! I have it, I charged it full charge and today with full use of gaming texting youtube I only dropped 35 percent, I have never had a phone last that long before.

The volt 2 uses a different processor, basically the same as lg leon or g4 stylus. so if you want to create roms for the volt2 you could use the g4 stylus and lg leon device trees as a starting point.

I figured it might help roll out a stock lollipop rom easier than flashing CM12 but I saw what Bad_Mofo posted up so my idea was moot.

Also Thanks to everyone that supports this device, I wouldn't enjoy this thing nearly as much if it wasn't for everyone that's active in the scene.:D
