Help Amazon Prime

Kind of off topic, but not totally, last year I signed up for a free Trial of the Touchpal Keyboard, and when it ended they automatically billed me for a year. I was going to buy it anyways because I liked it, but as we Americans say, lol, "it's the principal of the thing," so I contacted Google Play because I think at least they should have contacted me first to see if I wanted the keyboard before billing me. A very friendly gal from Google told me that it was the TouchPal people themselves that gave the go ahead for me to be billed and NOT Google Play themselves, but I could get a refund if I wanted. I told her that it wasn't necessary because I had planned to pay for it anyways, but I consider the business practice of automatically billing you after a free trial to be "shady" at best, and if I were Google I'd tell them to knock it off because not everyone wants to keep a product after the free trial!!

They shouldn't but that is the only way to make sure they won't.
Thanks mate. Will do :thumbsupdroid:
Yes CC is Credit Card.

Totally agree man!

I'm going to keep Prime after my trial ends. I'm enjoying the Instant Video, music and Kindle benefits, not to mention the shipping. Looks like Prime Day was a major fail, though lol.

Don't know why the link isn't working. Just highlight and search it.

You also need the Amazon shopping app, but not the one from Google Play, from Amazon Appstore.

I didn't do it in this order, but I basically followed these directions I found in the app review for Instant Video. Once I got the first video to work, now I just use the Instant Video app like any normal app.

Step 1: Install Amazon app.
Step 2: Install Amazon Appstore app which requires changing security preferences to allow apps installed from unknown sources, which leaves your phone vulnerable to malware.
Step 3: Go back to the Amazon app and pull up a video you want to watch.
Step 4: Get kicked back over to the Amazon Appstore to install the Instant Video plugin.
Step 5: Go back to Amazon app and finally play your video.

Amazon billed my friend for a free trial one day after signing up to take advantage of their so called PRIME DAY to rival all Black Fridays. Their sale was a non sale unless you were buying their devices to make you dependent on there services and products. On a separate note, they are trying to make me pay for an item the buyer changed his mind about wanting and now I am suppose to just take back a program even though he has probably already registered it. I am boycotting these guys big time now. Buyer beware.

PS what do you mean by "Amazon app"?

I just copy/pasted that, but it's just the Amazon shopping app. Note it has to be the version you get from Amazon, if you try to use the one from Google Play it will say Instant Video not supported on this version.

Actually that guy made it sound more complicated that it needs to be. It was kind of trial and error but this _should_ work.

Install Amazon Appstore from here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1000626391

From there install the Amazon shopping and Instant Video apps.
If you already have the Amazon shopping app from Google Play, uninstall and use that version. For some reason the two apps work together.
